Bruce A. McAllister was admitted to the New York Bar
in 1965 and the Florida Bar in 1987. He received an undergraduate degree from
College of the Holy Cross in 1959 and a law degree from Harvard Law School in 1964.
He served as Deputy and Acting Administrator of the U.S. Maritime Administration
from 1980 to 1981. He has served as Chairman of the Miami Maritime Arbitration
Council. Mr. McAllister was a member of the Board of Directors of the American
Steamship Owners Mutual Protection and Indemnity Association, Inc. from 1990 to 1996.
He is a member of the Editorial Board of The Journal of Maritime Law and Commerce
and the Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association. He is a Florida
Circuit Court Certified Mediator. Mr. McAllister is Chairman of the Board of Governors
of Nova Southeastern University Law School. Mr. McAllister joined the Firm in 2002.
Mr. McAllister practices in the areas of admiralty law, maritime law, and alternative
dispute resolution.
